I help people focus on their specific goals and make life changes while dealing with any emotional, traumatic, behavioral, social and/or relational issues. My approach is warm, connected, and artistic, yet honest and serious when and if needed. The way I practice therapy is by seeing each individual as unique and curtailing their counseling for their specific needs and desired outcomes.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which is evidence based, is taking grounded concrete action in one's thinking, behavior, emotions, habits, and/or hobbies has been a focus of my training and experience. I combine this with creative or expressive therapies if they are helpful for the person in growing their self esteem and for positive relationships. I also find simple talk therapy alone or in combination with creative therapies, if that is what a person prefers, to be just as effective depending on the overall needs of the person, situation, and goals.
It is my hope that more people can be increasingly content, satisfied and motivated with their lives as they continuously learn, grow, and change. And I find it very rewarding to be of some assistance to help guide people to accomplish their life and daily goals, even if it's just to help them see it as a neutral observer or to vent in order to realize what they can change. With ideas and action people can likely begin to see the changes in thought patterns necessary to live a positive fulfilling life.

No review by me is going to do justice to just how helpful and amazing Holly has been in the few months I've been working with her. If there was such a thing as the perfect therapist for a specific person then betterhelp.com did just that for me. I'm so grateful for all the help and guidance Holly has given me. She is empathic but stern and direct when you need her to be. Can't recommend her enough. 6 out of 5 stars!

She has worked with me and communicated even when I’ve struggled. We have only had one video session but she’s helped me open up and recommended some really interesting reading material. She’s also helped me look at things from different standpoints.

Holly is a very engaged counselor and provides a safe space for me to work out my feelings and issues. She provides a ton of value in between sessions by sending helpful links, articles, videos, etc for me to continue my personal development outside of our sessions which I find really helpful.

Holly is very helpful and understanding. She helped me change my views in a lot of things that I closed my mind on. When Holly didn’t understand something she would respond with a question and follow on with her thoughts and what she thought was a good idea to do to help me have one less thing to stress about. Holly gave me lots of tips that have helped me double think before I let another anxiety attack kick in. Extremely appreciative with the time she has made to help and guide me to a better day! Thank you, Holly!

Holly has played a key role in helping me with anger issues. She’s given me the space to vent and get it all out, while also taking me back to reality. I’ve learned healthy new coping mechanisms and have a wonderful counselor to take it all out with. I highly recommend her, as she’s compassionate, thoughtful, a great listener, realistic, and I truly feel like she cares!

I was initially on the fence about speaking to a counselor about my situation, but Holly has been very warm and helpful to my issues. I’ve never spoken to someone about my problems before, so I didn’t know how to open up about things; Holly had been very approachable and made me feel comfortable immediately. I would definitely recommend her to others that may have similar issues.
