I am a licensed therapist in Indiana, with a master's degree in clinical mental health counseling and six years of professional work experience. I have experience helping clients with anxiety, depression, alcohol and drug addiction, and relationship issues. My counseling style is client-centered and empathetic. I'm here to listen and to help you talk about, think through, and process the situations that are causing difficulties and negatively affecting your emotional well-being. Maya Bates is a truly caring and wonderful therapist. She provides a supportive presence as I talk through my own thoughts and is always ready with support or a thoughtful question depending on what is warranted. I also appreciate the resources she suggests for outside of our sessions, though I never feel pressured to pursue them if they don't resonate. I always leave our sessions feeling a little lighter and actually look forward to talking with her every week, which is something I NEVER thought I'd say about therapy if I'm being honest.
