JoEllen Watson, LICSW, LCSW
About me
I am a licensed clinical social worker in Idaho and Washington, with a Ph.D. in Social Welfare. I have more than 30 years of professional experience. Our work together is grounded in compassion, empathy, and genuine connection. I create a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can feel truly heard and safe to explore the emotional pain that has led you to seek help.
Together, we’ll uncover both your strengths and the challenges that may be blocking you from the life you want and deserve. I’m an active and thoughtful listener, and I believe in being transparent about the counseling techniques we use. You’ll always know what’s guiding our work and how it supports your healing, growth, and long-term well-being.
My approach is solutions-focused and centered on *your* goals—what you want for your life, your relationships, and your future. I’ll help you identify and build on your existing resilience while offering tools, encouragement, and gentle accountability to support lasting change.
Whether you’re navigating a life transition, working through grief or loss, or simply feeling stuck, we’ll move forward at your pace—with clarity, purpose, and hope.
