Kendra Robison, LPC
About me
I believe that the best way to take care of yourself is to engage in the counseling process. Often when we hear self care, we think of vacations, massages, and pedicures. However, those are not necessarily available, affordable, or even what we really need to take care of ourselves. Counseling is the best way to take care of ourselves because it is YOUR time to talk, to learn new coping strategies, and even just to vent. It is a safe space where everything you say is heard and you are given the chance to truly process things that have happened in your childhood, your relationships, or even just a bad week at work.
I have over ten years of experience working with all sorts of populations throughout my career. I have worked with populations dealing with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, trauma, post traumatic stress disorder, and postpartum depression. I have alos worked with those in the LGBTQIA+ community, as well as with teenagers.
I also have two children, so working with other mothers that are trying to take care of everyone else’s needs is a specialty. Let me help you take the step in taking care of yourself, addressing your traumas, and learning how to cope wit day to day life stressors so that you can be an example of mental health to your friends and family!

Kendra JUST LISTENS. It is difficult to find someone who listens and not judge and I know it’s her job but something is different. She’s just normal and not this corporate woman who picked a job to do. If you want someone normal and great at what they do than Kendra is for you.

I was matched with Kendra quickly and before we even had our first session I gave her access to my journal entry for that day. It was an incredibly hard, rock bottom emotional type of day and I just needed to have someone see that. Kendra knew absolutely nothing about me other than what I had submitted in my intake and this entry and she took time to respond back to me. Not a quick "I see this" message, but one that showed she had read and understood what I was saying. Every session has felt comfortable and I have been able to open up more each time, regardless of how much embarrassment or shame I feel. I am incredibly grateful to have her as I navigate this difficult time of working through my personal demons.
