Deena Ott, LCSW
About me
Start Your Journey to Healing:
You're here because you're ready for a change. You may be feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, weighed down by depression, or struggling with the pain of loss. Whatever you're facing, I want you to know you don't have to navigate it alone.
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 23 years of experience helping individuals like you in Texas, Utah, Arizona, and Nevada. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your challenges and build the skills you need to find peace and clarity.
My Approach to Therapy:
Every person's path is unique, and so is my approach. I believe that therapy should be tailored to your specific needs and goals, not a one-size-fits-all solution. I use a blend of evidence-based methods, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, along with other evidence based modalities; Also including mindfulness, meditation and individual focused self care.
 My expertise includes:
Anxiety & Depression: Developing effective coping skills to manage daily life.
Grief & Loss: Navigating all forms of grief, including complex loss and the death of a pet.
Addiction & Substance Use: Providing strategies for management and recovery.
Body Image & Self-Esteem: Cultivating a healthier relationship with yourself, your body and/or food.
Trauma & Stress: Creating a path to healing through mindfulness and other proven techniques.
My communication style:
My style is calm and direct, rooted in active listening and a nonjudgmental perspective. Sessions are driven and paced by you. It's your time. I don't bring an agenda, but I can and will step in if you need assistance with some direction or need some prompts.
Your First Session:
Taking the first step can feel intimidating.
Our initial session is simply a conversation for us to get to know each other. I'll share more about my style and approach, and you can share your goals and expectations. This is your time to see if we're a good match. My priority is for you to find the right therapist for you, and I truly believe that connection is key.

Deena is a wonderful therapist, she is patient, kind, and supportive. She has given me a number of things to try to help improve my mental health. She listens to me and is very accommodating when scheduling. I would definitely recommend Deena, I’ve had quite a few therapists in my lifetime and Deena stands out because it’s obviously when working with her she truly cares.
