I’m so glad you’re here. I’m Pam Albers, a licensed therapist with over 20 years of experience working with adults. My specialization is trauma—particularly in areas such as sexual abuse, sexual assault, childhood trauma, domestic violence, and grief and loss. I’ve also worked extensively with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, substance use issues, and relapse prevention.
I understand that healing from trauma is a deeply personal journey. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and compassionate space where you can explore and work through the complex emotions and experiences that so often come with trauma, loss, addiction, or mood-related struggles. Even if you’re not sure whether your challenges “qualify” as serious, please know that your story matters—and together, we can better understand what’s going on and explore meaningful solutions.
I bring a strong foundation in assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and practical tools for healing. My approach is individualized and flexible, drawing from a range of therapeutic methods including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), DBT, Narrative Therapy, Expressive Arts Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and CBT for Insomnia (CBT-I). I also incorporate mindfulness, coping strategies, meditation, and problem-solving techniques tailored to your unique needs.
My style is down-to-earth, direct when needed, and always compassionate. I believe in your potential for growth and change, and I’ll work alongside you to help you tap into your strengths, build new skills, and move toward the life you want to live.

Pam has given me practical advise about anger management, self-forgiveness, how to set boundaries , and on how to communicate more effectively with others who have varied communication styles. She is lovingly blunt and clearly has my best interest at heart. She shows me where I need improvement transparently and without blame. She is careful in constructing her responses and very sweet when it comes to expression. She’s shown me that it’s okay to go for a walk, enjoy the day, and even share, respective to the environment, things about myself and the value in not living muted. Thank You Pam!

I've only had a couple of sessions so far, but I've been very impressed with the on line counseling experience. I have to admit, I was on the fence about it for months, but once I decided to try it, I'm so glad that I did. Pamela is very professional, has a lot of experience in a lot of relevant areas, is kind, understanding, attentive. I love how she checks on me every few days through the messaging app of this website. I love the worksheets she has sent me & the suggested reading materials. I thought on line counseling would be impersonal, but it's not at all. I love how you can see the therapist's education background, their qualifications & experience as well as their current license. She's such a good listener & is direct yet not harsh. The price is also very reasonable for a mental health professional as well. I highly recommend this website as well as this mental health professional personally.
