About me

Hi, I’m Yun-Ting. You can call me Tammy! Welcome to my profile page.

Sometimes we find life feels stuck. We feel unhappy about relationships. We want to learn about ourselves and understand our experiences. You are not alone. I am here to listen to you and support you.

I offer a safe, warm, compassionate space to walk with you in this journey. In the space, it is non-judgemental and supportive. My aim is to work with you together and to help you make sense of your experiences and help you understand yourself better.

My approach is relational and humanistic, drawing on a blend of counselling and psychotherapy methods. Informed by my East Asian background, I bring a broadened perspective and cultural sensitivity into my practice.

What to expect from working with me:
* A collaborative, respectful space focused on your growth
* Honest and open dialogue, grounded in trust
* Tailored tools, insights, and strategies to support your journey
* A balance between deep exploration and practical direction

Areas I work with include:
*Anxiety, depression, low-self-esteem, stress, trauma
*Bereavement, grief
*Racial identity, immigration issues
*Relationship, family issues

A bit about me:
I have been volunteering at Cruse Leeds, supporting individuals experiencing grief since 2022. As a previous career, I spent 8 years in Mandarin teaching in school, and private settings.

When I am not working, I spend time on hiking, cooking, reading and connecting with people. I also actively engage in peer support groups with UK based therapists, continually growing in how I support clients and myself.

Taking the first step can feel daunting, but it may also be the beginning of real change. Having been a client myself, I know how daunting it can feel to start therapy, and also how meaningful it can be.

If any of this resonates with you, I would be honoured to walk alongside you on this journey.
